Biography: Gary Graham
Gary Graham is managing editor of The Spokesman-Review. He recently moved to Spokane from Binghamton, N.Y., where he had been managing editor of the Press & Sun-Bulletin in for six years. Prior to that he held various editing positions at the Wichita Eagle during a 13-year period in Kansas.
When he was an assistant managing editor for news at the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel, the newspaper won a Pulitzer Prize in 1983 for its coverage of local floods. He was a Washington correspondent for States News Service for two years.
Graham was the first editor-in-residence at the Media Management Center at Northwestern University, where he co-authored a booklet on newsroom teams in 1997.
Graham grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated from Ball State University in 1972. He is married and has one son.
