Biography: Ken Sands
Ken Sands is online publisher for The Spokesman-Review. He has been a reporter and editor at The Spokesman-Review since 1981.
He was the first elected online representative to the Associated Press Managing Editors Board of Directors and is an active member of the Online News Association. He also directs the Reader Interactive Program for the APME National Credibility Roundtables project, which trains news editors around the country on how to better interact with readers.
Ken was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up in Portland, Ore. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Journalism.
He and his wife have two children.
