Just to correct whoever did the GSL basketball piece:
Ferris boys basketball has a 58-0 record...we hit 32-0 early last season.

Blog/online editor Alec Jones is a senior at Lewis and Clark High School who spends his time playing badminton and drinking Perrier. He is also a volunteer for the Campus Kitchens Project. Alec looks forward to a career in either architecture or engineering.
Blogger Rachel (Rae) Farmer attends Deer Park Home-Link but is primarily home schooled. Rae thoroughly enjoys writing and is a total news hound, as proven by the number of RSS feeds in her Inbox. Her other interests include music, drama, sports and baking. If at some point in time she seems grumpy, it's probably because her younger brothers ate the last of the toaster waffles.
Blogger Mariah Hanley is a sophomore at Central Valley. She is a member of her school debate team as well as National Honor Society. She enjoys babysitting, reading, arguing and traveling. Mariah would eventually like to become a lawyer, as well as achieve world peace of course. She plans to major in something that would be interesting and would prepare her for law school. Mariah has troubles seeing the symbolism in anything, especially books.
Video blogger Nathan Mascardo hails from Ferris High School as a loud and proud senior. After discovering his deep interest in the field of filmmaking and motion pictures his freshman year, he has dedicated much of his time to produce many videos to express his creativity ... and sometimes to get a few laughs. He aims to find a college film school within his grasp (and budget) so he can truly begin his career as a filmmaker.
Blogger Caitlin Gilchrist, the Vox's southern correspondent, is a junior at J.J. Pearce High School in Dallas, Texas. An avid lover of literature, she is particularly fond of Hugo, Miller, Ibsen and Wilde. She spends most of her free time reading, writing, or hovering on Facebook. She currently aspires to be a professor of the Classics, though is eager to keep up with journalism for as long as possible.
Blogger Jennifer Helton is a senior at Mead High School. She participates in NHS and various volunteer activities, and loves animals and debating heavy issues. Jennifer plans to major in science at WSU and work with small children in the nursing profession. She is also an opinion writer for the print edition of the Vox.
Blogger Chloe Rambo, known for her "iinn-tense" coffee-addiction and beat up Converse sneaks, hopes to one day attend an ivy-league school...or at least own a scarf from one. As a sophomore from Oakesdale High School, she hates that her locker is on the top floor, but when she has a muffin for lunch everything is alright. When she isn't writing in her journal or sitting in big piles of fallen leaves you can find her in the band room, playing sax and guitar with her crazy friends.
Andi Henke loves volleyball and is a proud G-Prep Bullpup! She loves art: Paul Klee and Chuck Close are her favorites, and would love to go into some sort of design. She suffers in a household of WSU Cougs and UW Huskies.
Blogger Hailey Smith loves competing in varsity cross country and track and field, dancing jazz and lyrical, and writing poetic fiction. She can never get enough sunsets, "So You Think You Can Dance," and cookie dough ice cream. At Post Falls High School, Hailey is a member of NHS, Key Club and ASB, where she is currently serving as Sophomore Class President. Eventually Hailey will enter the world of journalism after pursuing a double major in Journalism and Business at either Whitworth, Gonzaga, or Washington State Universities. Hailey dreams of one day publishing a novel.
Blogger Adrianna Ovnicek is a freshman at RiverCity Leadership Academy. She loves listening to techno music when she writes. When she graduates high school she hopes to attend college elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest or on the East Coast and become a journalist for a newspaper, magazine, or website. She enjoys collecting hundreds of little icons with sayings on them, public speaking and/or debates, (sometimes) and shooting for the stars.
Steven Cash is a senior at Shadle Park High School. He loves people, music and literature and would have likely left this earth long ago had he been without the ability to create the last two. His current plans for life are vague, entailing extensive study in the humanities and volunteer work on both international and domestic levels. He has a confusing tendency to lie in a veiled, facetious manner and has won nine Pulitzer Prizes. Satire, history, nature and Vonnegut also help to get him by.
Erin Daniels, Coordinator of the High School Journalism Initiative and Vox adviser, is a former high school journalism teacher and leads the Vox crew though the brave new world of the newsroom. You can contact her at:
