About this race: Idaho state senators and representatives are responsible for translating the public will into public policy for the state, levying taxes, appropriating public funds and overseeing the administration of state agencies. They meet each year for a legistlative session starting in January and lasting approximately three months. Terms for both the 35 senators and the 70 represtatives run two years.
