Born in Garber, OK &lt;dd&gt;on November 11, 1917 to &lt;dd&gt;Sophie and Friedrich Meyers, German immigrants. She remembers riding a horse to a rural schoolhouse where&lt;dd&gt;she could only speak German. Vi played center for Oklahoma State Women&apos;s Basketball team in 1935. During WWII, she was a teletype operator in New Jersey. She met and married Glenn R. Cusick during the war on November 18, 1943. Her first child Beverly was born on October 17, 1946, followed by Gary on November 13, 1949. She had three grandchildren, Dan Kemano,Michael Cusick and Alex Cusick. A wonderful woman who inspired strength and will be missed by all. A special thank you to Avalon Care Center for the wonderful care and love you provided to mom. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9&amp;#58;00 AM to 5&amp;#58;00 PM at &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. Peg was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 2, 1921, and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended the University of Louisville, where she met her husband of 68 years, Dr. Harry C. Green, Jr. They were married on July 11, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas, and lived in various places for the next 27 years while Harry attended medical school, and served in the Air Force until his retirement in 1968. They permanently relocated to Spokane where they have lived happily for the past 41 years. Peg was a member of The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, where she sang in the choir, served in the Bishop&apos;s Guild and Altar Guild, and was one of the founding board members of Cathedral and the Arts. She also served as a long-time committed office volunteer at the Cathedral. Peg loved to attend concerts and plays, and was an avid bridge player. She also loved to travel, and she and Harry enjoyed many wonderful trips together after his retirement. Peg was known by many for her perfect handwriting and eloquent thank you notes. She was a board member of Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest, and for many years was an avid golfer and an excellent hostess. She is survived by her husband, Harry, their three children, Harry C. Green, III (Linda Hart Green) of Ridgewood, New Jersey, Penny Reid and James Green (Charlotte Green) both of Spokane; grandchildren Emily Rout (Bryant) and Megan Jankovsky of Spokane, Kate Jankovsky (Barry Weidenbenner) of Interlachen, Florida, and Christy Le Lait (Alain) and Harry C. Green, IV of Colorado Springs; and great-grandchildren Logan Weidenbenner, Bradley and Marianne Routt, and Sam Pitts. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 10&amp;#58;30am at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., Spokane. Frieda was born in Drake, Saskatchewan Canada August 8, 1916 to Robert and Adele McGee. The family moved to Spokane where Frieda was raised, graduating from Rogers High School in 1933. She moved to Seattle after&lt;dd&gt;graduation and it was here that she met and married Ken Hester. They moved to Spokane to raise their family and in 1954 they purchased Northwest Seed and Pet, running it together until retiring in 1979. Upon retiring, the couple moved to Winthrop, WA. She and Ken loved having the family come for visits, entertaining them with raft rides down the Chewach River in the summer and snowmobiling the wide open ranges in the winter. When her husband passed away in 1989, Frieda moved back to Spokane to be closer to family. At the time of her passing, Frieda was residing at Brighton Court Retirement Home. Always active, Frieda enjoyed gardening, card playing and dancing. Frieda along with her long time dance partner, &amp;quot;Doc&amp;quot; Detmer, could be seen around town two or three times a week at all the different dance events. &lt;dd&gt;Frieda is survived by her two sisters, Ethol Palmer, Salt Lake City, UT., Ellen Cougill, Eugene, OR., two sons, Ken (Deborah) and Steve Hester (Nancy), Grandchildren Jon Hester (Shannon) and Kirstin Peterson, great grandchildren Jory Zettle, Jack Peterson and Isabella Hester. &lt;dd&gt;At Frieda&apos;s request no memorial service will be held. please send any memorial contributions to one of her favorite organizations, the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/dl&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;&lt;/table&gt;</description>

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and celebrating the holidays with her family. Frances was an avid gardener, photographer, traveler and musician. &lt;dd&gt;She is survived by her husband of 55 years Robert Dale McLeod, Spokane, WA; twin sister Louise Pihl, Mt. Vernon, WA; sons Keith McLeod, Mukilteo, WA; Carl and Dorothy McLeod, Spokane, WA; Chris McLeod and Linda Green, Spokane, WA; grandchildren Leif McLeod and Leah McLeod, Spokane, WA. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family. A Memorial service will be announced at a later date.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/dl&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;&lt;/table&gt;</description>
