Presented by SPO-CAN. Awards breakfast and conference. Seattle Police Chief, Gil Kerlikowske will be the keynote speaker. Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick and Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich will discuss local programs on sexual abuse, physical abuse, and "drug endangered children." Registration required.

Pinwheel Planting

300 pinwheels will be planted to represent the 300 children in foster care in North Idaho.

Thousands of pinwheels will be on display to represent children served by Head Start, Early Head Start, and the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP). Scott Morgan, Chief Executive Officer for the Institute of Extended Learning, will speak to the public at 11 a.m. Sasquatch, the Community Colleges of Spokane mascot, will also be present.
